The following companies participated in dual track certification workshops in Waltham, USA 12-13 March 2007, where some companies who have passed step-1 certification in Dijon continued in the step-2 certification and a few other companies went through step-1 certification.
An IFC view represents a subset of the IFC specification that is needed for a particular exchange scenario. The certification process is split into two phases, in step 1 the IFC interfaces are tested against an agreed set of unit test cases, whereas in step 2 the IFC interfaces are tested against project files coming from beta customers.Įach IFC certification is based on a view definition. This group is facilitated by the IAI, but the responsibility for the quality of interfaces remains with the software company. The IAI facilitates a certification process where software companies can establish a group to test the IFC interfaces.
